MASON, Mich. (WLNS) — A Mason mother is working hard to make sure new families with babies with Down syndrome are being celebrated — by delivering care baskets.
Taylor Mack is a volunteer for Jack’s Basket, a non-profit based in Minnesota that’s helping change the narrative for children born with Down syndrome by providing resources and tools to families, all in one basket.
Mack’s daughter Kinslee is like any other typical three-and-a-half-year-old toddler. She likes to water plants and spend quality time with her siblings.
Kinslee is one of thousands of babies diagnosed with Down syndrome each year, and during Down Syndrome Awareness Month, her mother, Taylor, has a mission to change the narrative with the help of Jack’s Basket.
“Part of their mission, too, is to connect with physicians in the area and give them education on how they can congratulate and give parents the diagnosis in a positive manner,” Mack said…
