Old Mr. Taco Building Getting New Owners
If you’re a member of the Lansing Foodies Facebook group, you might have heard rumblings that the old Mr. Taco building was getting a new owner.
It would appear that those rumblings might be true, as there’s already a sign of the new owners up outside: Aladdin’s Express.
New Lansing Restaurants
I took a trip to the site of this infamous taco restaurant to see for myself. And behold—there it was, proof in the form of a sign.
This is huge news, considering the intense love-hate relationship that Lansing seems to have had with Mr. Taco. Truthfully, I had never been there, so I can’t speak to its awesomeness or lack thereof.
I can recall only one major complaint that patrons had which was that you never really knew what hours they were going to be open until they were posted on the official Mr. Taco Facebook page.

The old Mr. Taco site has been for sale since it officially closed in February 2023.
There’s no word on when Aladdin’s plans to have the new space up and running, but it might take some time, as the building and property haven’t been in use in more than two and a half years…
