Three Men Arrested in Ingham County Sting Operation Targeting Child Predators

Three men were arrested in Ingham County last week as part of an undercover operation targeting child predators, according to local authorities. The sting involved law enforcement agents posing as a 15-year-old girl online, leading to the apprehension of the suspects when they attempted to meet the fictional minor for sexual purposes. The Ingham County Sheriff’s Office announced the operation’s success on Friday.

The sting operation featured extensive online communication between the suspects and undercover deputies, ultimately culminating in arranged meetings that never were to actually transpired. As reported by FOX 2 Detroit, “When each man arrived at a location to meet the teen for sex last week, they were arrested without incident.” The men, identified as Kalil Davonte Brown, 24, of Farmington Hills; Syed Muhammed Zaid Alvi, 30, of East Lansing; and Gregory Leroy Jordan III, 37, of Lansing, now face multiple felony charges.

The charges against the individuals include Child Sexual Abusive Activity, a 20-year felony, two counts of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, and Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes. WILX provided the bond information, stating the bonds for Jordan and Brown were set at $75,000, whereas Alvi’s was significantly higher at $1 million.
