Teenager Stabbed in East Lansing Parking Garage Amidst Isolated Fight Ahead of Big Game

Last Saturday in East Lansing, a 17-year-old boy sustained multiple stab wounds after what has been described as a “large fight” took place in a downtown parking garage. According to CBS News Detroit, police said the incident occurred shortly before 1:35 a.m. at the Charles Street Garage located at 121 Charles St. The teenager was reportedly taken to the hospital following the altercation, where his injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

Reports indicate the fight that led to the stabbing appeared to have been an isolated incident, with no connection to an unarmed robbery that transpired a few blocks over shortly afterward. Preceding a major upcoming football game between Michigan State University and the University of Michigan, the East Lansing Police Department has urged residents and visitors to celebrate safely. As per FOX 2 Detroit, the ELPD emphasized that on game day, support will be provided by multiple law enforcement agencies to maintain a safe environment.
