The former Walter French Junior High School in Lansing has graduated to bigger and better things, as the century-old building enters its freshman year as an affordable housing complex and resource center.
The historic building at the corner of Cedar Street and Mt. Hope Avenue was built in 1925 and went through various iterations of academic use before being added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2014 and donated to the Capital Area Housing Partnership in 2018.
