LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A millage Delta Township officials said would have allowed soon-to-expire agreements with public transit providers to continue failed at the ballot box Tuesday.

53% of township voters said no to the proposal, while 47% said yes.
The proposed millage was 0.75 mils and would have generated an estimated $1.3 million for the township each year, with an average cost of around $105 a year for taxpayers.
The money would have gone toward operating agreements with CATA and EATRAN, specifically CATA’s Spec-Tran ADA service for senior citizens and people with disabilities, the Route 3 extension to the Marketplace, the Grand Ledge and Charlotte Connectors, and the CATA Rydz service…
