Karmanos Cancer Institute Highlights Local Cancer Survivors and Community Support in New Campaign

The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute has launched a new two-part brand campaign. The campaign aims to highlight the ‘Karmanos Advantage’ and encourage cancer patients to seek second opinions. It is being rolled out in Michigan and Ohio. The campaign features cancer survivors sharing their experiences, along with local businesses and organizations from their communities. It uses new images, radio spots, billboards, print, and digital ads to share these stories with Michigan residents.

Six survivor stories are central to this phase of the campaign. Patients, a physician, and staff members present these stories, using personal examples to discuss their hobbies, smiles, and experiences at Karmanos. The campaign shows that survivors and care team members are part of the local community, such as people seen at grocery stores or restaurants. It highlights their experiences with the institute’s staff.

Karmanos is involved in the communities it serves, with several locations in Michigan and Ohio.
