UPDATE: Police have reopened S. Waverly Rd as of 4:10 p.m.
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Roads on the south side of Lansing were closed amid heavy police activity Thursday afternoon.
6 News on the scene reports that as of 3:30 p.m., police have closed S Waverly Road between Sheffield Boulevard and Windward Drive. Amid at least eight Lansing Police Department vehicles, 6 News saw a gray Jeep SUV with moderate damage to the front right side that appears to have crashed.
Traffic is currently being directed away from the area, with officers instructing drivers to turn off onto side roads to avoid driving through the scene…
