Man found guilty of first-degree murder in 2023 death of Michigan State student

HOWELL, MI – A jury has found a 24-year-old man guilty of killing a Michigan State University student in 2023.

Reese Hammie was found guilty Wednesday, Nov. 18, of first-degree murder and obstruction of justice in the death of Oghenevwede “Wede” Okagbare after a trial spanning three weeks, according to court records.
