November is National Adoption Month. Michigan courts are observing the occasion by finalizing adoptions and recognizing families across the state. For over twenty years, Michigan’s judiciary has marked this month with the theme ‘Giving Thanks for Families.’ About 30 counties host events each year, and more than 100 adoptions are finalized annually.
This year, Eaton County Probate Court Judge Amanda G. Pollard will finalize several adoptions in Eaton County. She will also preside at the Michigan Supreme Court’s Adoption Day ceremony on November 25, 2025, at the Hall of Justice in Lansing. Chief Justice Megan K. Cavanagh and Justice Kimberly A.
