The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) is seeking to renew its accreditation with the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police (MACP). As part of this process, assessors from the Michigan Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission will visit ELPD on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, to collect public feedback. Community members and ELPD employees can provide comments between 12:30 and 2 p.m. by phone at (517) 319-6916 or by emailing Lt. Scot Sexton at [email protected].
Comments should address ELPD’s compliance with the commission’s 128 standards, which include policies, procedures, management, operations, and support services. The standards are available online, at ELPD headquarters, or by contacting Lt. Sexton. Anonymous comments are accepted but will not be included in the final report.
