Three years after Fidler’s on the Grand closed, Lansing restaurant plans to reopen

LANSING – Jacob Taylor was raised a foodie. His parents loved being in the kitchen, and most of the meals his family ate were homemade.

“I remember walking through the frozen food sections in grocery stores and wondering why they existed,” he said.

His father, Mark Taylor, helped open Fidler’s on the Grand, a breakfast and lunch restaurant, in a small building off North Grand River Avenue in 2018. Jacob, then 16, learned to love working in its kitchen…
