Upcoming Meeting on Mackinac Utility Tunnel Scheduled for December 12: Local Residents Invited to Participate

The Mackinac Straits Corridor Authority (MSCA) will hold its next meeting on Friday, December 12, 2025. The meeting will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Michigan Library and Historical Center, 702 W. Kalamazoo St., Lansing, Michigan. The public can attend in person or watch a live stream on YouTube. Community members, residents, MDOT staff, and contractors may attend. Anyone needing special assistance should contact Orlando Curry at least five business days before the meeting.

The MSCA oversees the construction, maintenance, and operation of a utility tunnel under the Straits of Mackinac. This tunnel will replace part of the Enbridge Line 5 pipeline and carry other utilities. It will connect Michigan’s peninsulas.
