Eaton County woman faces animal cruelty felony charge

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A 28-year-old dog trainer from Potterville is facing a felony charge for cruelty to animals.

Samantha Michelle Sullinger was arraigned on the felony charge in Eaton County District Court on Dec. 2.

The charge was upgraded from a misdemeanor case of animal cruelty, originally filed in August. The new charge alleges that more than four, but fewer than 10 animals were impacted by her actions. Eaton County Prosecutor Doug Lloyd dismissed the misdemeanor charge.
