LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A plan to distribute funding to rental housing rehabilitation and development projects in Ingham County is now under an “indefinite delay,” the Ingham County Housing Trust Fund announced Monday.
The Housing Trust Fund was established by the county’s Board of Commissioners to encourage the construction, improvement, and maintenance of affordable housing for residents.
The county planned to release a competitive grant opportunity for non-profit organizations to support rental housing development and rehabilitation, but now, officials say millions of dollars in state budget cuts by the Republican-held Michigan House of Representatives have put a hold on those plans…
