Last Dietrich Park camp residents move to hotel following legal order

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The last remaining people living at the controversial Fallen Angels homeless camp in Lansing near Dietrich Park are now leaving the property.

Following a legal agreement between the city of Lansing and property owners, more than 50 people were told they needed to leave the camp and move to the Causeway Bay Hotel in South Lansing.

Officials say the property owners have two weeks to secure the property and remove any remaining trash. Community members and housing advocates banded together Monday morning to help the last residents of the camp into their new temporary home for the next six weeks.
