New Michigan State head coach Pat Fitzgerald has been working tirelessly to set up his operation in East Lansing ever since he was hired by the university at the beginning of the month. As part of that work, the new ball coach has been carefully putting together his staff – both in the on-field and off-field departments.
To that point, it sounds like Fitzgerald is one step closer to completing this task. Industry sources tell Spartan Tailgate and Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports that Fitzgerald has formally hired UMass offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian as MSU’s quarterbacks coach. Matt Fortuna was first on the report.
Bajakian was Fitzgerald’s OC at Northwestern during the end of his tenure as head coach. He takes a step down from OC to QB coach in order to reunite with Fitzgerald and level-up to the Power Four level once again…
