Winter weather advisory affecting 4 Michigan counties Monday – up to 4 inches of snow

The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory at 10:43 a.m. EST on Sunday valid for Monday between 1 a.m. EST and 7 p.m. EST for Montcalm, Ionia, Eaton and Calhoun counties.

The weather service comments, “Snow and blowing and drifting snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.”

“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. Blowing snow will reduce visibilities down to less than a mile at times,” describes the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling.”
