GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — New documents from Michigan State University show renovations at Spartan Stadium are expected to cost $500 million.
A proposal released earlier this month by the university details the renovation and construction plans at Spartan Stadium. The plans were designed based on findings from a facilities study conducted in 2022.

The plans, which the university says will “increase future revenue and elevate the fan experience,” include renovations to the concourse and concessions, upgrade bowl seating and accessibility, and make building repairs, system upgrades and enhance security measures.
The first phase of the renovations will focus on the east side of the stadium. MSU plans to add premium seating, a corporate sponsor space and a welcome center. Then the focus will turn to the stadium’s concourse and concession stands. Finally, bowl seating will be addressed, and the stadium’s facade will be updated…
