The Lansing area’s ever-changing commercial landscape gained several new stores and restaurants in 2025.
Dave & Buster’s opened its first Lansing area restaurant near the Eastwood Towne Center in Lansing Township, as did Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant. East Lansing got the area’s first Cheese Lady store, where more than 100 different types of cheeses are available and cut to order, and Ashley Furniture opened a location in the Meridian Mall.
Some retailers made big moves. Best Buy left a standalone building adjacent to the Lansing Mall, reopening inside Delta Crossings, a retail development west of Interstate 96. And Grand Rapids-based Schuler Books moved from its long-time space at the Meridian Mall to a larger storefront at the property…
