LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that killed one man and injured three others back in May of this year. Law enforcement is still searching for two other suspects.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, on May 16, the three suspects went to a home in the 100 block of Lincoln Court in Jackson and opened fire, shooting four men. The victims, Anthony Owens, Kenneth Avant, Randall Hurst, and Michael Gant, were taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital. Owens would later die while at the hospital.

The first suspect in custody, who was found in Ohio, has been identified as Tyrek Tra-Quan Jabrie Rice.
The sheriff’s office is seeking the public’s help in finding the two other suspects, Dion Jamel Flowers Jr. and Montez Martees White, who are both believed to be armed and dangerous.
The three men are facing the following felony charges:
- Open Murder
- Assault with Intent to Murder
- Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person
- Felony Firearm
