LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -Prayers for global peace and prosperity were the message today at an interfaith peace vigil at Bharatiya Temple in Haslett. The peace vigil has been happening on New Year’s Day for the past 27 years.
The event featured an ancient Vedic Havan for world peace. The hope of the vigil was to promote world peace in peaceful accord with all.
“We are all interconnected… we are part of a one global family, so we want to make sure that there is no suffering,” said Shiv Singh of Bharatiya Temple of Lansing. “And like everybody’s prospering and moving in the right direction.”…
