LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Those who still have Christmas trees up may want to consider taking them down.
The National Fire Protection Association reports that more than one-third of Christmas tree fires occur in January, when trees begin to dry out. As a tree remains inside a home longer, the risk of fire increases.
