Lansing poised for new permanent fire chief

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The city of Lansing is just a week away from appointing its new fire chief, as Carrie Edwards Clemons was named as the top choice by the city’s mayor Andy Schor.

Edwards-Clemons has been with the Lansing Fire Department for two years, serving as interim chief and assistant chief for administration. Before that, she served as the deputy fire chief in Flint for 23 years.
