LANSING, (Mich.) WLNS — Many mid-Michiganders have spent the last couple of weeks thinking about what’s in store for 2026 and looking back on 2025. The same can be said for the Lansing Police Department.
LPD says overall crime was down in 2025, including a 36% drop in shooting homicides and a 19% fall in non-fatal shootings. They credit much of this progress to their community partnerships.
