LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — General Motors Co. workers have resumed production after a fire at the Lansing-Delta Township auto plant, a spokesperson confirmed Friday. The fire occurred in the body shop, and both the body shop and the Lansing Regional Stamping facility were evacuated. Both GM facilities are adjacent to each other.
GM would not provide details on how the fire affected production or the length of the evacuation.
In a statement earlier today, Fred Woodhams, a spokesperson for the GM facility, said that all employees were safe and accounted for.
