Michigan State University will still hold classes Friday despite sub-zero temperatures expected to hit campus in the morning.
“After a thorough review of local weatherconditions, informationavailablethrough the National Weather Service,andin response to communityinquiries,university leadership and the MSU Department of Police and Public Safety have made the decision tomaintainthe regular schedule of classes, scheduledeventsand campus operationsthrough the weekend,” Chief of Police and Executive Director of Public Safety Mike Yankowski wrote in an email to campus Thursday evening.
“Classes and campus operations will continue as normal, including theCATA bus schedule,” Yankowski wrote. ” We recognize that winter weather can create unexpected challenges.Faculty,staffand students are encouraged tomonitorweather forecasts, current conditions, and emergency alerts, and to use sound judgment when evaluating travel and personal circumstances.”…
