Driver arrested, meth, cash seized in Delta Township traffic stop

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A traffic stop in Delta Township early Friday led deputies to seize methamphetamine and arrest a suspected impaired driver, according to the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said deputies pulled over a vehicle around 3:42 a.m. on Jan. 30 in Delta Township for a traffic violation. During the stop, deputies searched the vehicle and reported finding about 58 grams of methamphetamine and $520 in cash.

Deputies arrested the driver at the scene. The suspect was booked into the Eaton County Jail on preliminary charges of possessing methamphetamine with intent to deliver and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
