LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – A Mid-Michigan mother has turned her concerns about traffic stop safety into a product designed to protect drivers and officers during roadside encounters.
Safer Traffic Stops LLC is a “patented leather octagonal-shaped document holder.” The device allows drivers to store their license, registration, and insurance documents on their steering wheel, keeping important paperwork visible and accessible without requiring drivers to reach into glove compartments or wallets.
Susan Pope, CEO of Safer Traffic Stops, and Bath Township resident, created the device after having “the talk” with her children about “driving while Black.”…
