LANSING — The city has agreed to settle a federal lawsuit filed by the family of a man who died in custody at the Lansing lockup in 2020.
Anthony Hulon, 54, died on April 11, 2020, after four officers handcuffed him and pinned him to the floor after he began acting erratically, according to the lawsuit. Hulon had been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence following an altercation with his roommate.
The Ingham County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Hulon’s cause of death as positional asphyxia and his manner of death as homicide, according to the lawsuit…
