EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Sutter Muzzatti got ready for the game like any other night—lacing up his skates and preparing for the ice. But this time, he was doing it at the rink where he’d spent most of his childhood.
The Okemos native had grown up around the Michigan State hockey arena. He played youth hockey locally and was always around the rink, especially since his father, Jason Muzzatti, worked as the team’s goalie coach. Jason had been a goalie at MSU from 1987 to 1991.
“I grew up playing for Meyer and Lance and Spartan,” Sutter said. “A lot of games here. My dad was goalie coach here for a little while as well, so I was always around the rink getting the games.”…
