LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Erin Schor, a longtime policy professional and the wife of Lansing Mayor Andy Schor, announced on Friday her candidacy for the Michigan House of Representatives. She is running for Michigan’s 74th House District, which is currently held by Kara Hope (D-Holt). Hope announced in January that she is not seeking reelection.
“After strong encouragement by many residents in South Lansing and Holt, as well as support from a variety of neighborhood leaders, local elected officials, and current state legislators – and so many of you! – today, I am announcing that I am a candidate for the 74th District in the Michigan House of Representatives,” Schor said in a social media post.
According to Schor’s LinkedIn, she currently serves as a legislative policy director in the Department of State, a position she has held since 2022.
Schor’s campaign website lists a number of endorsements, including state Sens. Jeremy Moss (D-Southfield) and Sam Singh (D-East Lansing), along with state Reps. Jason Morgan (D-Ann Arbor), Phil Skaggs (D-East Grand Rapids) and Angela Witwer (D-Delta Township)…
