LANSING — The Diocese of Lansing, which oversees Catholic parishes in 10 counties in central Michigan, announced March 2 that it’s reassigning nearly a dozen priests this summer — including some in Brighton and Howell.
Bishop Earl Boyea said clergy assignments will take effect July 1. The Diocese didn’t immediately comment on the reason for the changes.
Which local priests are moving?
The following changes were announced:
- Rev. Corey Bilodeau, currently parochial vicar for St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in East Lansing, will become pastor of St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Brighton.
- Rev. Brett Ivey, currently parochial vicar for St. Joseph Parish in Howell, will become chaplain at Father Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor.
- Rev. Joshua Fons, currently parochial vicar for St. Patrick Parish in Brighton, will become parochial vicar for St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in East Lansing.
