Mid-Michigan community members hope for peace, change in Iran

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — As tensions between the United States and Iran continue to escalate, members of Lansing’s Muslim and Iranian American communities are sharing mixed but deeply personal reactions.

“I’m absolutely disheartened. Innocent lives are being lost. War is not an answer. We need to be working toward peace,” said Thasin Sardar, a board member at the Islamic Center of East Lansing.
