LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — While Lansing has overspent its Code Blue budget, Lansing Mayor Andy Schor is assuring residents that there are dollars to cover additional weather events.
6 News Investigates reported March 10 that the city of Lansing had already overspent the Code Blue budget of $40,000 by more than 58 percent — spending $63,296 thus far this fiscal year.
“I’m not worried about 20 or 30 thousand dollars over on this program when I know we’ll be under in other areas,” Lansing Mayor Andy Schor told 6 News. “We’ve got other homeless dollars that we can use, we’ve got federal dollars that we can use for these things.”
