LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– A 35-year-old man was hit and killed by a semi-truck on I-96 early Tuesday morning.
Michigan State Police First District reports in a social media post that troopers from the Lansing Post were sent to the eastbound I-96 near Okemos Road for a semi-truck crash involving a pedestrian.
Following the preliminary investigation and the collection of witness statements, police say that a 2016 Freightliner semi-truck with trailer, driven by a 54-year-old man from Westland, was traveling eastbound on I-96 when a 35-year-old man from Okemos “entered the roadway” and was hit.
The 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene…
