LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Okemos Board of Education has named Matt Olson as its next superintendent, announcing Tuesday night they have entered into contract negotiations.
Olson has been the assistant superintendent of Northwest Education Service in Traverse City since 2020.
“He worked to create more culturally responsive environments within the schools and improved supports for multi–language learners,” wrote the Okemos Board of Education regarding Olson’s experience in Traverse City. “He built a robust system of programs tailored for superintendents, new leaders, aspiring leaders and women in leadership. He is a team builder and community leader, recognized for fostering collaborative culture and strong partnerships.”…
