LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – National Cleaning Week has arrived, and Volunteers of America Michigan is asking Michigan residents to donate gently used items to their thrift stores.
The VOA Michigan Thrift Stores accept donations of “gently used clothing, shoes, household items, furniture, books, jewelry, collectibles, and more, and proceeds from every purchase at their stores support social services for veterans, seniors, and families.”
“For 130 years, Volunteers of America Michigan has been committed to transforming the lives of our local communities by providing shelter, food, and education to our most vulnerable,” said VOA in a statement. “When you shop at one of our 100% non-profit thrift stores, you are helping homeless veterans, seniors, and struggling families rebuild their lives.”…
