‘My blood runs green, my blood runs white’: MSU fans lined up hours before UConn game

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – Despite the Spartans losing 63-67 to UConn in the Sweet Sixteen, there was no shortage of school spirit in East Lansing on Friday. Hours before the 10 p.m. tip-off, lines were out the door and wrapped around the block to local bars.

The game meant a lot to MSU fans, especially the seniors who did not know if they’d be watching their last Spartan basketball game as a student. Matt Rodgers was one of them.
