One of Lansing’s bright spots is Frances Park, located at 2701 Moores River Drive.
It’s a beautiful place to walk – whether alone or with a close friend or partner. The Rose Garden features 155 rose varieties that you can stroll by, get a good view of the Grand River, and walk the woodland trail. There is also a picnic area and access for fishing.
For being this close in proximity to the city, there is a good amount of wildlife here: at any time you could come across serene deer, rascally squirrels, sneaky possums, all types of birds, and yes…maybe a ‘friendly’ skunk once in a while.
