LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Tens of thousands of Michigan residents lost power early Wednesday morning after a band of thunderstorms made its way through the state.
The Lansing Board of Water and Light (BWL) reported around 300 customers without service between Chandler Road and U.S. 127, though those outages seemed to be fixed by 7:40 a.m.
Meanwhile, Consumers Energy reported that more than 1,000 customers lost power near Laingsburg. East of Laingsburg and north of Perry, more than 1,000 customers were without power, and still are as of publishing. Around 300 customers lost power west of Laingsburg.
At least 58,000 customers were without power in the Lower Peninsula on Wednesday morning. Allegan County near Grand Rapids had more than 10,000 outages, while around 300 lost power in Ingham County and more than 3,000 in Gratiot, Clinton and Shiawassee counties…
