EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Michigan State University police and fire worked together to rescue 11 baby ducklings from a storm drain next to the Broad Art Museum on campus Thursday evening.
Retired MSU faculty member Glenn Stutzky and his wife were taking a stroll on the university’s campus when they say someone nearby told them about a duck frantically circling a storm drain near the student services building.
Stutzky told 6 News he witnessed two adult ducks walking around on the road, in danger of being struck by passing vehicles, which caused some issues for traffic in the area. He even says passing students attempted to rescue the ducklings by climbing down themselves — but to no avail…
