To The Point: Senate Appropriations chair on Michigan budget

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The process to create Michigan’s next budget continues in Lansing.

Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Sarah Anthony, D-Lansing, echoed her House counterpart when she said getting a budget done comes before getting back to the campaign trial.

“I’ll say this: We all signed up to do a job, a full-time job — many legislatures across the county don’t have full-time lawmakers who are paid a decent wage to come to this building and get work done. So I believe we should get our work done before running for the next thing,” she said.
