East Las Vegas Sidewalk Death Has Family Fearing Stray-Bullet Killing

Relatives are demanding answers after 41-year-old Lucy Robledo was found dead on a sidewalk in east Las Vegas, with police later discovering what appeared to be at least one gunshot wound and opening a homicide investigation. Loved ones say they suspect she was hit by a stray bullet and have built a makeshift memorial near where her body was found.

According to KTNV, dispatchers received a call shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday about an unresponsive woman in the 1200 block of North Eastern Avenue, between Owens and Washington. First responders arrived and pronounced Robledo dead at the scene, and the LVMPD Homicide Section was called in to handle the case, the station reported.

Coroner notes gunshot wounds

FOX5 reports that the Clark County coroner later documented a gunshot wound to Robledo’s neck and said investigators found another wound during a closer exam. The outlet states the coroner formally identified Robledo, and that officials have not released any information about a suspect or a possible motive.
