LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — It has been nearly one year since the Nevada Board of Funeral and Cemetery Services shut down McDermotts Funeral & Cremation Services after finding it failed to bury or cremate bodies in a timely manner. Now, new complaints are surfacing.
Last August, the Nevada Board of Funeral and Cemetery Services pulled McDermotts’ license after reviewing four complaints. 8 News Now has confirmed at least eight lawsuits have been filed against the funeral home, with the latest filed this week.

Filed July 20, Alyssa Sandoval claims her father died in May of last year and was taken to McDermotts. The lawsuit alleges McDermotts’ “failed to cremate his body in a reasonable period of time, and failed to store the body in sanitary conditions.”
The complaint also claims his body was “contaminated with the blood, bodily fluids, or remains of other decedents.”…
