LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A Romanian man using a counterfeit Canadian passport was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday in an identity theft scam devised to steal from people shopping for vehicles online.
Eustatiu Brat, also known as “Bosko Obradovic,” is charged with one count of aggravated identity theft. According to court documents, Brat possessed and used a counterfeit Canadian passport and Quebec driver’s license on Feb. 26. Authorities said he is an illegal alien.
