‘She took down the post. She will be at Lovers & Friends,’ the Las Vegas festival announced after Mary J. Blige initially denied her involvement
It sounds like Mary J. Blige will take the stage at the Lovers & Friends Festival in Las Vegas after all.
Although the nine-time Grammy Award -winning artist told fans in a note Thursday that she would not be performing at the forthcoming event despite being listed as part of the lineup, the festival announced Friday she would, in fact, be performing.
“THE QUEEN OF R&B HERSELF, MARY J. BLIGE! We can’t wait to see her perform in Vegas,” they captioned a clip of the singer performing at the 2022 Super Bowl on Instagram Thursday.
One follower then responded, noting, “She literally said she’s not gonna be there.” In turn, the festival replied, “She took down the post. She will be at Lovers & Friends.”
Though the No More Drama artist did not directly address being added back into the lineup, she shared an Instagram Story Friday with just a smirk emoji and money bag emoji on a purple background.
