2 teenagers arrested in robbery turned deadly shooting in east Las Vegas: police

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police arrested two teenagers in a robbery turned deadly shooting in the east valley, according to Metro police.

On Friday around 4:20 p.m., Metro police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Tree Line Drive and South Grass Meadow Drive near Sahara Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.

When officers arrived they found a man near a vehicle suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The man was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Officers later arrested 19-year-old Serge Kamga and a 16-year-old in connection to the shooting. Police said the victim was shot during a robbery over narcotics.

Both Kamga and the 16-year-old face open murder charges. Kamga was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and the 16-year-old was booked into the Clark County Juvenile Hall.
