LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is alerting residents about a rising text message scam.
According to the department, scammers are sending messages or making phone calls that appear to come from official numbers, sometimes even providing badge numbers, names of law enforcement officials, federal judges, and courthouse addresses.
