Ex-roommate accused of storing Las Vegas woman’s body in freezer will not face death penalty

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A woman’s ex-roommate accused of killing her and then storing her body in a freezer will not face the death penalty should a jury convict him.

Earlier this year, a Clark County grand jury indicted Daniel Roush, 38, on murder and other charges in the death of Monique Gilbertson, the 8 News Now Investigators first reported. Las Vegas Metro police arrested Roush, who identifies as Jazzlynn Roush, on Nov. 6. A woman police identified as Roush’s wife, Gina Lopez, faces drug charges in connection with the event.
